Special Issue on Advanced Cryptographic Techniques for Cloud and Big Data Computation
Call for papers
Submission due: June 30, 2016
Cloud computation is an emerging and promising paradigm for solving complex problems by enabling large-scale aggregation and sharing of computational, data and other geographically distributed computational resources. Big data is a rapid developed field in these years, it is at the centre of the future knowledge discovering society. The techniques in which Big Data is generated, collected, processed, computed and communicated are developed quickly. However there are many security issues around cloud and big data computation need to be solved first if we want to adapt these paradigms as part of our livings. Many advanced cryptographic techniques developed in these years can contribute to solve these challenge issues, such as attribute based encryption/signature, functional encryption/signature, somewhat/fully homomorphic encryption/signature, garbled circuits and obfuscation etc.
This special issue aims to provide a forum for the dissemination of new methods and results in the field of advanced cryptographic techniques for cloud and big data computation, with special emphasis on efforts related to the foundational theory and practical engineering applications. Other techniques related to how to secure cloud and big data computation are also welcome. The special issue will carry revised and substantially extended versions of selected papers presented at the10th International Conference on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing (3PGCIC 2015), but we also strongly encourage researchers directly submit their original articles for this call.
